There was some rumor around the brand Philips that removed its logo from the HQ in Amsterdam. The PR officer said that it had to do with more news coming later this week.
At the same time it got announced that Philips has launched a website that lets you claim a pixel if you log in with Facebook or Twitter. This way pixel by pixel the new logo gets launched.
It looks a lot, if not totally, like the Pixel Party concept that we have launched as IIZT and used frequently for different clients. Its purpose is to attract more fans and let them participate and either unveil something or win something. We have been using this concept for more than four years now.
To unveil a new logo, which looks like it will be more some sort of retro logo for Philips, it is a rather unsurprising approach. Most likely Philips could have reused our tool for a fraction of the cost as they must have invested now. Curious what kind of company came up with this concept. Then again, looking for what is out there already and then trying to improve it was the last article we posted here.
Looking for really fresh ideas, ahead of their time? Or want to reuse a concept that we have built before in our eleven years of existence? Do not hesitate to contact us ;-) 020-6933131
