Right at the start of IIZT we launched in co-operation with Blue Tattoo from Belgium the Club Nokia portal. At the time (2002) Nokia was the most popular phone provided. Smartphones were not really existing.

This Finnish player always had content as an important part of their strategy. To show that phones were part of our active daily lives we created a portal. All Nokia owners could enter it. In it they could see the agenda per city and per genre of things to do, or new releases to be found in Holland. Theatre, movies, games, and of course concerts, albums, books. All were presented. And you could win it.
It meant a lot of interaction and a huge increase in the database for Nokia with valuable information about what their clients were interested in. And this all pre smartphone. Imagine another party would relive this kind of concept today. It could be a game changer.
